TN-PEARL research will be highlighted this year at the 46th annual conference of the Association for Education Finance & Policy, held March 17-19.
The AEFP conference aims to promote equity and opportunity through education policy research. Over the course of the three-day virtual event, two TN-PEARL researchers will have the opportunity share their work with conference attendees.
Walter Ecton, a Ph.D. Student in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, will present “Earning to Learn: Working While Enrolled in Tennessee Colleges and Universities,” co-authored by Ecton and fellow TN-PEARL researcher, Carolyn Heinrich, the chair of the Leadership, Policy and Organizations Department, a professor of Public Policy and Education in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. On Friday, Cara DeLoach, a graduate student at Vanderbilt University and TN-PEARL affiliate, will present “Building Collaborations to Improve Workforce Development,” co-authored by DeLoach; Adela Soliz, TN-PEARL affiliate and assistant professor of higher education and public policy in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College; and Hidahis Mesa, a graduate student at Vanderbilt University.
Ecton’s presentation will be during a 3 p.m. session on Wednesday, March 17, and DeLoach will present during an 11 a.m. session on Friday, March 19. You can find more information, including how to register, here.
